Writing prompt poetry

patter of the rain
sparkle of the light
there goes an airplane
far along its flight.

cracking of a stick
flutter of wings
fox plays his trick
but a bird sings.

rabbit bolts away
with a full belly
tail flicks in dismay
that costs him dearly.

lies down in the shade
waiting is the game
eyes watching the glade
this time he will maim

that fluffy white butt.
twitching of his nose
rumbling in his gut
springs, snaps and swallows.

that’s the end of that
fox licking his lips
rain goes rat-a-tat
splashing as it drips.

Writing prompt consists of three nouns: patience, fox, forest.
